The “Nursery of the Future” is a project completed by the UAE-based studio Roar in Dubai. The nursery school integrates advanced technologies to promote active play and introduce children to the basics of computer coding. This initiative is backed by the UAE government as part of the AREA 2071 initiative, which aims to position the UAE as the “world’s leading nation” by its centenary in 2071. The design of the nursery is a departure from traditional subjects and instead focuses on preparing children for future jobs that might not currently exist.
